Gary Frank Butler
Gary Butler has spent the majority of his life serving the people of Hardin County, Texas. Gary was born and raised in Lumberton, Texas, the son of a BNSF railroad engineer. Gary attended public school at Silsbee ISD, and he graduated from Silsbee High School in 1972. Thereafter, Gary attended Baylor University and graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. Pursuing his desire for higher education, he entered the University of North Texas and earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1977. Next, Gary attended South Texas College of Law, where he served on the South Texas Law Journal and joined the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity. Gary graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1982. Gary has previously worked for personal injury law firms, a District Attorney’s Office, and has previously served as a municipal judge for both Kountze, Texas and Sour Lake, Texas.
Gary has been in private practice for the past thirty-five years, advocating daily for people living in the community where he was raised.
Gary has been appointed to serve as a Special Master in several class-action toxic tort cases, has sat on the Grand Lodge of Texas’ Jurisprudence team, has participated as a mediator in cases of all types, taught as an adjunct professor for Angela Junior College and Lamar University, has spoken at Continuing Legal Education seminars, and has served his community for decades through various volunteer and charitable organizations.
Stewart Madison Butler
As the child of an Attorney, Stewart Butler early developed a deep respect for the American legal system. He knew from a young age that he desired to become a Texas Lawyer and serve his community by advocating for justice and the preservation of the rights of the injured. Stewart graduated from Kountze High School in 2002. Upon graduation, he attended Baylor University, where he graduated in two years with a Bachelor of Business Arts in 2004. While at Baylor, Stewart was admitted into several social, academic, and honor societies. Stewart immediately thereafter attended South Texas College of Law. In law school, Stewart received individual speaking honors, served as an editor for the Corporate Counsel Review, and joined Delta Theta Phi law fraternity. After being admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2007, Stewart returned directly to Hardin County to fulfill his childhood dreams of working for the betterment of his community.
Although the lion’s share of Stewart’s practice has been focused on civil litigation in both the District and Appellate Courts of Texas, he has also taught as an adjunct professor at Lamar University and has spoken at Continuing Legal Education seminars. Stewart continues to volunteer in his community to serve others who are in need.
